From 2021 to 2026, Hue city has achieved a reduction of 933.6 tons of plastic waste leaked into the environment through a cooperation project with WWF in Vietnam. The project was implemented thanks to funding from the people of Norway, with the goal of protecting Hue's river, wetland, and coastal ecosystems from plastic pollution, while simultaneously building Hue into a model city for plastic waste reduction in the Central region. Hue has reduced over 933 tons of plastic waste leaked into the environment.
