🛫 Currently, Vietnam plans to increase the number of airports nationwide from 30 to 32 by 2030, and to 34 by 2050. The background to this goal is to enable over 95% of the population to access air services within a 100km radius. However, 11 out of the current 21 civilian airports are already operating at a loss, and there are cases that raise economic viability concerns, such as Can Tho Airport, which received large-scale investment but has few passengers and almost no international flights.
